The electromechanical transducer has stator elements (30,32) that are arranged in a common stator housing (19) and are spaced apart from each other. A rotor (38) is arranged between the stator elements. The rotor is radially coaxial to the stator elements. The iron-free rotor is made of aluminum, plastic, ceramic, carbon fiber-strengthened plastic (CFK) or glass-fiber reinforced plastic. An independent claim is included for method for assembling electromagnetic transducer.
