<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for modified starch which can acquire sufficient bleaching effect without changing characteristics of starch in modified starch to which chemical processing has been given. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for bleached food grade modified starch comprises performing a processing for obtaining food grade modified starch is performed after making starch react with hypochlorous acid or its salt, wherein the processing for obtaining food grade modified starch is one or two or more of processings chosen from a group consisting of hydroxy propylization treatment, phosphate crosslinking treatment, and acetylation treatment using a vinyl acetate monomer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
