<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular lighting fixture capable of controlling irradiation light without using a mechanical operation section and raising light use efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicular lighting fixture includes a light source 1, a polarized light conversion element 4 arranged in a route of light from the light source and converting almost all components of the light into polarized light in the same vibration direction, and an optical element 5 arranged in the route of the polarized light from the polarized light conversion element and controlling the route of the polarized light. The optical element has a first substrate and a second substrate oppositely arranged each other, a first electrode arranged on the first substrate, a second electrode arranged on the second substrate, a liquid crystal layer arranged between the first substrate and the second substrate, and a prism array arranged between the first substrate and the liquid crystal layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
