摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device which enables a clear multi-gradation color display and provide an electric apparatus comprising the same.

SOLUTION: A gradation display is performed by a time-division driving system which controls a light emission or non-emission of an EL element 109 provided on a picture element 104 by time to prevent an effect of characteristic variance of a TFT 108 for controlling electric current. A TFT itself formed on a substrate has an optimum structure to fit performance required by each circuit or element so that a highly reliable active matrix type light emitting device can be provided. A highly reliable electric apparatus providing a high quality image and performance can be manufactured by having such an active matrix type light emitting device as a display.
