<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubbing agent which is capable of forming a liquid crystal orientation membrane without deteriorating display quality even in the case of continuous lighting for a prolonged time and is excellent in printability even in the case of printing with a small fluid volume. <P>SOLUTION: A rubbing agent includes at least one kind of polymer that is chosen from a group consisting of polyamic acid and polyimide which have a structure represented by the following formula (A") respectively. (In the formula (A"), X<SP POS="POST">1</SP>and X<SP POS="POST">3</SP>show a single bond, an ether bond or an ester bond; X<SP POS="POST">2</SP>and X<SP POS="POST">4</SP>show the ether bond or the ester bond independently; R shows a methylene group or an alkylene group containing 2 to 6 carbon numbers; a1, a2, a3 and a4 show 0 or 1; R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>shows a hydroxyl group, a halogen atom, the alkylene group containing 1 to 4 carbon numbers, a carboxyl group or a carboxyalkyl group containing 2 to 5 carbon numbers; a5 shows an integer from 0 to 14; and an asterisk shows a bonding hand.) <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
