<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear-end collision warning device for a vehicle which can warn an approaching vehicle behind by a structure more simple than a conventional one. <P>SOLUTION: The rear-end collision warning device 1 for a vehicle includes a solar cell 10, a control part 20, a drive part 30, and a light emission part 40. The solar cell 10 is arranged and is turned backward on an end of the own vehicle so as to receive light emitted from the vehicle behind. The control part 20 determines whether it is night or day at the moment based on a power generation amount signal of the solar cell 10. The control part 20 determines whether the vehicle behind approaches or not based on the power generation change amount which is a temporal change of a power generation amount when it is night. When the vehicle behind approaches, the control part 20 outputs a light emission instruction signal for instructing light emission of the light emission part 40 to the drive part 30. The drive part 30 makes the light emission part 40 emit light by power generated by the solar cell 10 with headlight light upon receiving the light emission instruction signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
