<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a route guide device able to carry out a route guide in which the advantage of a newly provided road is taken into consideration. <P>SOLUTION: A route guide device 1 adds information such as a reduction period end date and so on to information about the link of a road stored in a storage section 11. If the information about the link is referred to in a route search process, a newly provided coefficient for reducing a movement cost for the link is calculated based on the information. Based on the newly provided coefficient, the movement cost is corrected. The movement cost for the newly provided road is reduced by the correction, thus making it easy to include it into a recommended route.
