<p>Disclosed is an isolated antibody, or functional fragment thereof, that specifically binds to a hLIGHT epitope wherein the antibody comprises: (a) i) a VH CDR 1 having the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO. 20; and ii) a VH CDR 2 having the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO. 21; and iii) a VH CDR 3 having the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO. 22; and (b) i) a VL CDR 1 having the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO. 35; and ii) a VL CDR 2 having the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO. 36; and iii) a VL CDR 3 having the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO. 37. Also disclosed is the use of the antibody for the manufacture of a composition for alleviating one or more symptoms of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in a human selected from abdominal cramps and pain, bloody diarrhea, severe urgency to have a bowel movement, fever, loss of appetite, weight loss, anemia, fatigue, and/or sores on lower legs, ankles, calves, thighs, and arms, profuse bleeding from intestinal ulcers, perforation or rupture of the bowel, strictures and obstruction, fistulae (abnormal passage) and perianal disease, toxic megacolon, and or malignancy of the colon or small intestine, arthritis, skin conditions, inflammation of the eye, liver and kidney disorders, and/or bone loss.</p> |
