PURPOSE: A composition containing 4-chlorotetrazolo[1,5-a]quinoxaline and derivative thereof for anti-allergic effect is provided to suppress generation of TNF-alpha and IL-4 and to prevent and treat allergic diseases. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating allergic diseases contains 4-chlorotetrazolo[1,5-a]quinoxaline and derivative thereof as an active ingredient. The allergic diseases are caused by mast cells. The 4-chlorotetrazolo[1,5-a]quinoxaline and derivative thereof prevents and treats allergic diseases by suppressing Src-family kinase activity. A functional cosmetic composition for treating allergic diseases contains 4-chlorotetrazolo[1,5-a]quinoxaline and derivative thereof as an active ingredient.
