<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of informing an apparatus at the opposite end of an error occurrence without providing a particular communication procedure on a page which can not be printed out owing to lack of a battery residual amount even when facsimile data is received on a memory. <P>SOLUTION: A multi-function apparatus is driven by a battery, receives image data (facsimile data) transmitted in page from an apparatus at the transmitting end by means of facsimile, stores the received data, and sequentially prints out the image data of the completely received and stored page. Further, the multi-function apparatus detects a residual amount of electricity of the battery and determines the final page which can be completely printed out using the residual amount of electricity. If a next page follows, the multi-function apparatus does not return a normal reception signal for the final page thereby to abort communication. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
