<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a translucent substrate related to a substrate material of a solar battery, a planar light-emitting element or the like and having high light scattering characteristics and transmission characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The irregular substrate includes at least a glass substrate and an irregularity forming layer formed on the glass substrate. In the irregular shape of the surface of the irregularity forming layer, a plurality of dome-shaped projections or bowl-shaped recesses are distributed. An average size of the dome-shaped projections or the bowl shaped recesses is 50-1,800 nm, and the irregularity forming layer does not substantially include particles having 100 nm or more of diameter. An apex inclination angle is set to be ≥20° and <60°, an intermediate point inclination angle is set to be ≥30° and <70° and a difference between the apex inclination angle and the intermediate point inclination angle is set to be ≥10°. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
