<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide techniques such as an update management server allowing an electronic device having no display section or having only a simple display section to update software related to a license agreement beyond the coverage of a previous license agreement. <P>SOLUTION: A method comprises: determining by an update management server whether or not an updated version of software is software of which license agreement is to be required for a user (software related to a license agreement beyond the coverage of one of a previous version of software)(ST 108); when the updated version of software is new software which requires a licence agreement, transmitting the license agreement of the newly licensed software from the update management server to a PC of the user based on an update information table, and presenting it on the PC (ST 109); and, when the agreement is concluded, transmitting by the update management server the newly licensed software to an electronic device, and updating using it. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
