<p>The disclosed solar cell unit (100) is provided with: a fluorescent/light-collecting panel (2) that contains fluorescent bodies (6) that absorb non-visible light and emit non-visible light; and a solar cell (4) positioned with the light-receiving surface thereof facing an end surface (2a) of the fluorescent/light-collecting panel (2). When external light is incident on the fluorescent/light-collecting panel (2), the fluorescent bodies (6) emit non-visible light. Said non-visible light emitted inside the fluorescent/light-collecting light-guide panel (2) reflects within the fluorescent/light-collecting panel (2) and is collected at the aforementioned end surface (2a). The solar cell (4) uses the fluorescent light collected at the end surface (2a) of the fluorescent/light-collecting panel (2) to produce electricity. Visible light, on the other hand, passes through the fluorescent/light-collecting panel (2) without being absorbed by the fluorescent bodies (6). Also, the non-visible light emitted by the fluorescent bodies (6) is either ultraviolet or infrared light and thus cannot be seen. Consequently, observed from the side opposite the principal surface on which light is incident, the fluorescent/light-collecting panel (2) appears nearly transparent.</p> |
