The method involves utilizing a geological underground storage structure. Carbon dioxide (3) is used as sustained proportionate or entire base gas. Hydrocarbon (2) is provided as process gas. The geological structure is provided as a natural or artificial underground storage structure. A measuring unit (4) is attached to a substrate for monitoring mixing ratios of various gas. Measurement and control devices (7) are mounted for measurement of material properties of the sustained proportionate or entire base gas.
