A method, system and Node B for indicating state information are disclosed in the present invention, wherein the indication method includes the following steps: a compressed mode is started or stopped between a terminal and a Node B; the Node B informs the serving radio network controller of the terminal about the current compressed mode state information of the terminal, so that the serving radio network controller learns the current compressed mode state of the terminal. With the invention, the serving radio network controller is enabled to learn the current compressed mode state of the terminal, and furthermore, it is enabled to make a better messurement decision for the terminal.
