POWER CONVERSION APPARATUS AND POWER CONVERSION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conversion apparatus capable of maintaining an output voltage constant without changing a firing angle by making a gate drive signal change, following a frequency and phase of a three-phase AC power supply.

SOLUTION: The power conversion apparatus includes: a bridge rectifier circuit 20 that converts output power output from an AC power supply 10 to obtain a DC voltage; a first comparator 31 that generates a first rectangular wave by comparing the output voltage with a ground voltage; a sawtooth wave generation circuit 30 with an integration circuit 32 that generates a sawtooth wave by time-integrating an output voltage when a first rectangular wave is "1" and outputting a constant value when the first rectangular wave is "0"; a second comparator 40 that generates a second rectangular wave by comparing an output voltage commend value with the sawtooth wave; and a gate drive signal generation circuit 50 that generates a gate drive signal for driving the bridge rectifier circuit 20 according to the second rectangular wave.
