PURPOSE: A method for encoding/decoding data and an apparatus thereof are provided to compress additional sub-residual data by using residual data which are generated in advance. CONSTITUTION: The residual data corresponding to the difference between a current block and a prediction block are generated(S310). Residual transform coefficients are generated by converting and quantizing the residual data(S320). The block most similar to the residual conversion coefficient for the previous block among previous blocks is used to predict sub residual data(S350). The entropy encoding for the sub residual data is performed(S360). |
