The electrical power supply device is connected with the bolt driver through a safety mechanism (25), where an intermediate storage (8) is automatically transferred from an energy storage state into an idle state when the electric power supply device is disconnected from the bolt driver. The intermediate storage includes a spring element (10) that is tensioned to store drive energy of the power supply device when the power supply device is connected with the bolt driver.
