PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to enable users to easily and directly weld an electrode terminal by exposing a non-coated portion of an electrode assembly. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery comprises the following: a case; an electrode assembly(110) formed with a first electrode formed with an active material-coated region and an active material-uncoated region(111c), a second electrode, and a separator inserted in between the electrodes; and a supporting plate(160) with a first conductive plate(161) including at least one first tab(161a), located in between the electrode assembly and the case. The first conductive plate is electrically connected to the electrode assembly using the first tab to partially cover the active material-uncoated region using the first tab.
