The exchanger has corrugated fin elements (4) alternately arranged next to each other, and an upper closing tub (6) comprising a set of openings (9) for retaining and fixing heating units. Each heating unit comprises two electrically conductive contact plates and multiple positive temperature co-efficient (PTC) heating elements that are arranged between the contact plates. A positioning element for positioning the heating units is arranged in a housing element (2), and comprises an integrated filling channel for filling a gap with electrically insulating sealing compound. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a heat exchanger.
