PURPOSE: An alphabet input method using a touch screen is provided to easily input alphabetic characters only with one drag by recognizing a start point and an end point of the drag about a keypad as a character input signal. CONSTITUTION: If an end point and a start point of the drag are equal and the movement to the different cell has no, the first alphabetic character of the cell corresponding to the start point is marked(S54). If the end point and the start point of the drag are different, vertical or horizontal moving count N of the dragged cell is identified, and N+1 alphabetic character of the cell corresponding to the start point is marked(S57). If the end point and the start point of the drag are equal, a drag path is identified. If the different cell is included in the drag path, the final alphabetic character of the cell corresponding to the start point is marked(S55). |
