PURPOSE: A solar battery which uses a compound semiconductor and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to arrange a second compound semiconductor layer patterned on a first compound semiconductor layer arranged in one surface of a transparent substrate, thereby improving photoelectric efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A first compound semiconductor layer(30) is arranged in one surface of a transparent substrate(20). A junction surface of the first compound semiconductor layer and transparent substrate includes a textured surface(22). A plurality of second compound semiconductor layers(44) is arranged on the first compound semiconductor layer. A first electrode(54) is arranged on the first compound semiconductor layer. A second electrode(52) is arranged on the second compound semiconductor layer. |
