PURPOSE: A semiconductor memory apparatus and a method of repairing thereof are provided to efficiently divide a repair address corresponding to a plurality of planes including a repair processing unit. CONSTITUTION: In a semiconductor memory apparatus and a method of repairing thereof, a memory unit(10) comprises first plane and second plane A repair address latch section(20) latches a plurality of repair addresses. A plurality of repair addresses is outputted from the memory unit. An address comparison part(30) compares the plural repair addresses with a first plane address and a second plane address. The repair process part(40) selectively activates the corresponding memory cell group of the first and second planes.
