PURPOSE: A method for cleaning a water treating apparatus is provided to prevent the efficiency reduction of a cleaning process and to accurately measure the malfunction of the cleaning process. CONSTITUTION: A method for cleaning a water treating apparatus includes the following: A cleaning mode is set(S11). A water taking cock is opened(S12). A connecting pipe and a circulating pipe are opened(S13). A circulating pump is operated(S14). A flow path converting part is converted into a circulating mode(S15). When a circulation cleaning time is reached, the operation of the circulating pump is stopped(S17). A neutralizing agent is introduced, and the circulating pump is re-operated(S19). When a cleaning water neutralizing time is reached, the flow path converting part is converted into a water draining mode(S21). When the water draining mode is completed, the circulating pump is stopped(S23). Water is supplied to the water treating apparatus, and the water is drained(S24). After the cleaning mode is completed, the water taking cock is closed(S26).
