PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to obtain alignment direction of various liquid crystal molecules by a vector sum of an alignment direction of a first and second substrate. CONSTITUTION: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device includes a display panel(10) and a polarizing plate(30). The display panel includes a first substrate(100), a first alignment layer, a second substrate(200), and a liquid crystal layer(300). The first and second area of the first alignment film obtains each pixel area by bipartitioning the pixel area in parallel to the transmitting axis. The third and fourth area of the second alignment film obtains the area of each pixel area on the second substrate by bipartitioning the absorption axis.
