PURPOSE: A surface light source apparatus and a three-dimensional display apparatus are provided to re-project light to a light guide body by reflecting leaked light from the rear surface of the light guide body, thereby improving light use efficiency by suppressing light leakage. CONSTITUTION: A light guide body(32) is arranged by the superposition of light guide plates(32a,32b). A reflecting member(46) is arranged in the rear surface of the light guide body. The reflecting member re-projects light to the light guide body by reflecting light leaked from the rear surface of the light guide body. A left side light source(33b) and right side light source(33a) are sealed in a transparent resin(41). An image of a liquid crystal panel and lighting state of the left side light source and right side light source are synchronously controlled by a synchronous driving apparatus.
