METHOD AND APPARTUS FOR TRANSMITTING CSI-RS AND DATA USING PARTIAL MUTING OF CSI-RS

PURPOSE: A channel state information-reference symbol(CSI-RS) which uses a partial muting process of the CSI-RS, a data transmitting and receiving method, and an apparatus thereof are provided to improve channel estimation performance, thereby improving a system capacity. CONSTITUTION: A CSI-RS(Channel State Information-Reference Symbols) pattern to be used in a base station is determined. A part of resource elements included in a CSI-RS reusing pattern excluding the determined CSI-RS pattern is determined as a muting pattern. A rate matching process is performed by considering the CSI-RS pattern and muting pattern. A data symbol and CSI-RS are arranged in the resource element within a resource grid. The data symbol and CSI-RS are modulated. The modulated data symbol and CSI-RS are transmitted to a terminal.
