PURPOSE: A girder for an X-Y transfer apparatus is provided to achieve desired cross section and hardness of a girder by regulating the number of extruded beams according to the weight of transferred materials and the size of equipment. CONSTITUTION: A girder for an X-Y transfer apparatus comprises a plurality of extruded beams(120) which are embedded with reinforcing units. The extruded beams are arranged as contacting each other and the top and bottom surfaces of a contact part are welded with a friction stir welding method.
