APPARATUS FOR MONITORING COMBUSTION OF SOLE FLUE IN COKE OVEN AND METHOD FOR THE SAME

PURPOSE: A system and a method for monitoring the combustion of a sole flue in a coke oven are provided to monitor the combustion of a sole flue in real time by using an optical fiber cable as a sensor. CONSTITUTION: A system for monitoring the combustion of a sole flue in a coke oven comprises an optical fiber sensor unit(310), a temperature measuring unit(350), and a temperature monitoring server(370). The optical fiber sensor unit is installed on the top of a sole flue mask frame and transfers scattered light to the temperature measuring unit. The temperature measuring unit measures the temperature of the transferred scattered light and transfers the measured value to the temperature monitoring server. The temperature monitoring server determines whether a sole flue is combusted or not based on the transferred temperature value. If the sole flue is combusted, the temperature monitoring server outputs an alarm signal.
