PURPOSE: A method for controlling bromination of thiophene derivatives is provided to be easily applied to an organic semi-conductor. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling bromination of thiophene derivatives comprises: a step of contacting thiophene derivative of chemical formula 2 with lithium source in a reactor for reaction; a step of inputting bromine into the reactor; and a step of adjusting the mole ratio of lithium source and bromine to prepare a compound of chemical formula 3 or 4 as a main product. The lithium source is n-butyl lithium, s-butyl lithium, or lithium diisopropylamide.
