A SKIN CARE AGENT CONTAINING VIRIDIFLOROL

PURPOSE: An external use skin composition containing viridiflorol is provided to suppress inflammation response and to treat atopic dermatitis. CONSTITUTION: An external use skin composition contains 0.0001-20 wt% of viridiflorol which suppresses inflammation, erythema, and pruritus. The external use skin composition is a cosmetic composition or pharmaceutical composition applied to the skin except for a cleansing agent. The external use skin composition treats xeroderma and atopic dermatitis. Viridiflorol is denoted by chemical formula 1 and is decahydro-1,1,4,7-tetramethyl-1H-cycloprop(e)azulen-4-ol.
