FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: at altitude of 20-40 km onboard a stratospheric aerostat during its drift, the vertical and horizontal component and the modulus of the induction vector of the earth magnetic field are measured with vector and first scalar magnetometers and profiles 1, 2, and 3 of the measured values, respectively, are obtained. Corresponding values of components of induction of normal earth magnetic field, synthesised using a model, are subtracted from values of profiles 1, 2 and 3, and profiles 4, 5 and 6 are obtained. Measurements are also taken using a second scalar magnetometer located 6 km from the first on the vertical, to obtain profile 7, from which profile 8 of the modulus of induction of the anomalous earth magnetic field is obtained similarly. Profile 9, which characterises the value of magnetic anomalies, is obtained as the difference between values of profiles 3 and 8. Further, points on the drift route with no significant magnetic anomalies are determined. ^ EFFECT: obtained data enable to specify the value of the vertical and horizontal component and the modulus of anomalous earth magnetic field; solving the task of determining the internal structure of the earth based on magnetic field. |
