PURPOSE: A smart card and a method for manufactu4ring the same are provided to perform long distance data communication by laminating both sides of the coil sheet on both sides in a state in which a chip module is inserted to a module arrangement unit of the coil sheet. CONSTITUTION: A coil sheet has a coil exposing unit(115) and a chip placing unit(113). An antenna coil(111) exposes an end unit through the coil exposing unit by wiring along the edge of the coil sheet. A chip of a chip module which is loaded in a board(123) corresponds the connection terminal(124) of the board to a unit of the antenna coil by being inserted to a chip arrangement unit. An external sheet(130a,130b) is laminated to both sides of a coil sheet after connecting to the end unit of the antenna coil and the connection terminal.
