The box has a sub frame (7) fixed at a frame of a commercial vehicle, and a box tilting plate (1) supported by the sub frame in an articulated manner. The sub frame includes a front connection cross-piece (9A), an intermediate connection cross-piece (9B) and a rear connection cross-piece (9C) that are connected to beams (8A, 8B) by welding. One of the beams allows introduction of the front connection cross-piece and the intermediate connection cross-piece to an adjustable position according to desired centre-to-centre distance between the beams. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a sub frame to realize a positionable type box.
