The seat has a fixing unit (20) e.g. screw or rivet, for fixing a frame (10) e.g. base/backrest frame, to a chassis of a motor vehicle. The fixing unit is made of metal, and the frame is made of polymer e.g. expanded polypropylene and polyamide. The fixing unit and the frame form a dismountable assembly to allow disassembly of the fixing unit from the frame for separate recycling of the frame and the fixing unit. The fixing unit is retained on the frame by material zones (15) of the frame deformed elastically during installation of the fixing unit on the frame. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a seat of a vehicle.
