The device has rods (1, 2), where one end of each rod is joined with the other end to form a U-shaped clamp. Central part of one of the rods forms a plane part formed with an oblong hole having shape and dimensions necessary to receive the thumb of the right hand or the left hand of a user, where the other rod is hollow along its length. A hollow nipple surmounts outer edge of the U-shaped clamp. An independent claim is also included for a method for utilizing a device for holding food.
