<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device with improved operability of an input operation with respect to a software keyboard and a virtual pointing device, and further to provide an input control method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a touch screen display; first region setting means for setting a first region including a plurality of input regions on the touch screen display; second region setting means for setting a second region on a common region between the first region and the second region; operation detecting means for detecting whether a touch operation with respect to the common region is a first operation, by which an elapsed time from touch-on until touch-off is shorter than a set time, or is a second operation, by which the elapsed time from touch-on until touch-off is the set time or longer; first output means for outputting first data corresponding to the input regions including a position on which the touch operation has been performed in a case where the first operation has been detected; and second data output means for outputting second data indicating the position on which the touch operation has been performed in a case where the second operation has been detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
