<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock-up device for a torque converter, certainly suppressing vibration caused by a coil spring. <P>SOLUTION: In this lock-up device 7, respective pairs of two large coil springs 74 are arranged in series. In torsional characteristics in a plurality of stages, formed by compressing at least one of a small coil spring 75 and one large coil spring 74 of the respective pairs of two large coil springs according to a relative angle between an input rotary member 71 and an output rotary member 73, rigidity ratios α1, α2 between N torsional rigidity and N+1 torsional rigidity are set to not less than 1.5 nor more than 3.0 (N is a natural number). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
