<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a wide gear ratio from a low speed to a high speed by forming multiple stages without increasing the back-and-forth length of a device, to shorten shifting time, and to reduce shift shocks. <P>SOLUTION: First to third clutches 12 to 16 and gears 11 to 17 are provided to a first shaft 10, a fourth clutch 24 and a fifth clutch 26 and gears 21 to 27 are provided to a second shaft 20, gears 33 to 37 are set for a third shaft 30, a sixth clutch 44 and a seventh clutch 46 and gears 45 to 49 are provided to a fourth shaft 40, an eighth clutch 54 and a ninth clutch 56 and gears 53 to 59 are provided to a fifth shaft 50, and a tenth clutch 62 and an eleventh clutch 68 and gears 63 and 69 are provided to a sixth shaft 60.
