<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic electronic component in which short circuit does not take place easily between first and second internal electrodes. <P>SOLUTION: The ceramic electronic component 1 comprises a rectangular parallelepiped ceramic element 10. The ceramic element 10 has a central part 10A where first and second internal electrodes 11 and 12 are provided, and first and second end parts 10B and 10C where the first and second internal electrodes 11 and 12 are not provided.
