PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability by suppressing excess rotation of an electric motor in a control device of a vehicle.

SOLUTION: While carrying out driving connection of a multistage transmission 13 to an engine 11 through a clutch 12, driving connecting of the multistage transmission 13 is carried out to a motor generator 14 through a clutch 15 and a gear pair 26, and driving connection of the driving wheel 17 is carried out to the multistage transmission 13 through a last reduction gear 16. A hybrid ECU 100, when detecting a failure by the side of output shaft 37, intercepts connection between the output shaft 22 of the motor generator 14 and the output shaft 37 of the multistage transmission 13 by the clutch 15.
