<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a system for utilizing a distributed power supply in order to compensate for a power shortage when power consumption reaches its peak. <P>SOLUTION: A system for utilizing a distributed power supply includes prediction means (14) for monitoring power supply capacity of a substation (12) and predicting a shortage amount of the power supply, control means (24) for controlling operation of an existing distributed power supply (22) that is installed in a facility of a consumer (18) in a power transmission system (16) of the substation and that acts as an emergency generator, remote instruction means (28) for transmitting an operation signal to the control means via a communication network line (26) when the power from the substation is predicted to be in short supply, and power supply means (32) for supplying power generated by the distributed power supply to the power transmission system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
