<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and the like suitable for cutting chemically strengthened glass. <P>SOLUTION: The method for cutting chemically strengthened glass 10 having a compressed stress layer in at least a part of its surface layer, includes steps of: forming an initiation crack 2 in a predetermined position of the surface 11 of the compressed stress layer 13; and extending a crack 4 from the initiation crack 2 to cut the chemically strengthened glass 10. In this method, the predetermined position for forming the initiation crack 2 is heated at a temperature not lower than 200°C and not higher than the glass transition temperature before forming the initiation crack 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
