<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase resistance to the twist deformation of a spool when the spool is subjected to the twist deformation. <P>SOLUTION: In a webbing take-up device 10, a spool 20 has a first recessed portion 38, a second recessed portion 40, and a third recessed portion 42 to reduce weight, and has a first rib 44 and a second rib 46 for reinforcement. When the rotation of one end 20A of the spool 20 is restricted, the nearer to the one end 20A, the greater rotation load acts on the spool 20 where an extending angle α of the first rib 44 is smaller than an extending angle β of the second rib 46. As a result, when the rotation of the one end 20A of the spool 20 is restricted, the spool 20 can easily reduce the extending angle α of the first rib 44 to enable the twist deformation, and can distribute the rotation load acting on a portion between the one end 20A and the first rib 44 of the spool 20, thereby increasing the resistance to the twist deformation of the spool 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
