<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic photoelectric conversion element capable of imparting a high open end voltage. <P>SOLUTION: The organic photoelectric conversion element includes a pair of electrodes, at least one of which is transparent or translucent, and an organic layer between the electrodes. The organic layer contains a compound represented by formula (1) and a conjugated polymer compound. (In the formula, R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group which may be substituted by a fluorine atom, an alkoxy group which may be substituted by a fluorine atom, an aryl group which may be substituted, an arylalkyl group which may be substituted, or a heterocyclic group.
