<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal fitting for a post which is manufactured by assembling a paired anchor members and reinforcement members for reinforcing the anchor members and has a simple structure, high workability, an adequate strength that make the fitting applicable to various kinds of handrail posts having different sizes. <P>SOLUTION: A metal fitting for a post 1 comprises a paired bar-like anchor members 2 and reinforcement members 3 for reinforcing the anchor members, in each of which is formed a T-shaped groove 21 in a plan view from one end to the other end. Both end portions of the reinforcement members 3 are formed into T-shape in a plan view (all the members make H-shape), which are fittingly inserted into each one of the opposing T-shaped grooves 21 of the anchor members 2 except concrete buried portions 22 of the paired anchor members 22.
