<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid an operation trouble accompanied by drifts of molten steel at left and right sides of an immersion nozzle in a mold. <P>SOLUTION: In continuous casting in which heat conductive bodies of a coagulated shell 2, a mold powder layer 3 and the mold 4 exist between the molten steel 1 and cooling water for casting, a heat transfer coefficient α<SB POS="POST">R</SB>and a heat transfer coefficient β<SB POS="POST">R</SB>at the right side are simultaneously decided by using a plurality of temperature measuring means which are embedded in right and left positions which sandwich the immersion nozzle 6 with positions displaced from each other in a casting direction in a mold long side 4L, and a heat transfer coefficient α<SB POS="POST">L</SB>and a heat transfer coefficient β<SB POS="POST">L</SB>at the left side are simultaneously decided. Then, when the heat transfer coefficients α<SB POS="POST">R</SB>and α<SB POS="POST">L</SB>are 500 to 50,000 W/m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>K, and when the heat transfer coefficient β<SB POS="POST">R</SB>and the heat transfer coefficient β<SB POS="POST">L</SB>are different from each while exceeding a prescribed value in a ratio between them, it is estimated that there are generated the drifts of the molten steel at the right and left sides of the immersion nozzle 6, and then casting speed is decreased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
