<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel for a bearing wall capable of reducing weight and cost, and improving energy absorption performance by effectively using shear capacity while ensuring deformability of a face bar. <P>SOLUTION: An interior panel 4 serves to prevent entire buckling of a folded plate 3, which ensures its deformability until yielding shear capacity and the one after yielding so that a bearing wall with excellent energy absorption performance is provided. The shear deformation generated in the folded plate 3 in an in-plane direction is not transmitted or unlikely to be transmitted to the interior panel 4. This may prevent damage to the interior panel 4 so as to eliminate or simplify repair thereof after an earthquake.
