<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer and printing method where a continuous medium is kept in a suitable state and printing ejection and curing are performed. <P>SOLUTION: This printer includes a supplying means for supplying the continuous medium, a holding means for sucking and holding a region to be printed in the continuous medium, a sub scanning means for scanning the holding means in a sub scanning direction, an ejecting means for ejecting a liquid body, a main scanning means for scanning the ejecting means in a main scanning direction crossing the sub scanning direction, and a curing light source for radiating curing light for curing the liquid body. The ejecting means is arranged at a position capable of ejecting the liquid body toward the region to be printed sucked and held by the holding means by scanning the ejecting means in the main scanning direction with the main scanning means and scanning the holding means in the sub scanning direction with the sub scanning means.
