<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of replacing a passenger conveyor with which components of the conveyor can easily be replaced with new ones. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes: a step of forming a replacement unit that is narrower in width than that of an existing truss 10 by disposing a drive device 40 and a drive wheel rotated by the drive device and rotatably moving steps in a frame body 32; a step of attaching the wheel to the replacement unit; a step of conveying the replacement unit to a predetermined installation position so that the wheel moves along a guide rail that the existing truss includes; and a step of fixing the replacement unit into the existing truss. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
